The EHS Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing the environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, reduce workplace hazards, and promote a safe and sustainable working environment. This role requires a deep understanding of EHS regulations, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain safe and compliant operations. Your role in our team You will develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations You will conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify safety and environmental risks in the workplace You will lead the effort to obtain and maintain ISO 45001 certification, ensuring the development and implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) that meets all standards and requirements You will lead the development and delivery of safety training programs to ensure all employees are well‑informed about safety procedures and regulations You will advise on safety policy development and updates while coordinating emergency drills across campus locations You will perform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities to ensure adherence to safety policies, environmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements You will investigate workplace incidents and accidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence You will work closely with management to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures You will ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to maintain compliance with environmental standards You will monitor and track environmental performance, including waste management, air quality, and energy consumption You will maintain and update records related to safety, health, and environmental performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address and resolve EHS issues, ensuring a proactive approach to workplace safety and sustainability You will stay up to date with changes in local, state, and federal EHS regulations and ensure company policies and practices remain compliant You will provide guidance and support to employees on safe work practices and environmental stewardship You will support management with EHS‑related projects as needed Your profile You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field You have proven experience in EHS management or a similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment You have experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations You have experience with environmental sustainability programs and initiatives preferred A Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) or environmental certifications (e.g., LEED, REA) is a plus You have in‑depth knowledge of EHS laws, regulations, and best practices, including OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations You have strong understanding of environmental protection principles, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability You are a self‑motivated professional with the ability to manage multiple EHS projects in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to safety and environmental challenges. You have a keen attention to detail, solid knowledge of environmental monitoring tools, industrial hygiene practices, and EHS software platforms, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization Your working environment at Körber Join Körber Pharma and you will work in an innovative, friendly and digital environment providing the opportunity to advance your career.
