As an Associate in Liability Management and Hybrid Capital at MUFG in London, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of capital markets by supporting complex transactions that drive value for clients. • Manage transaction workstreams efficiently by liaising with internal stakeholders including Coverage, DCM, Syndicate, Sales, Legal, and Compliance to ensure seamless delivery.


• Prepare and review detailed transaction analyses, execution materials, client presentations, and internal approval documentation to maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.


• Assist senior bankers in identifying new liability management and capital structure optimisation opportunities through market research and strategic analysis.


• Participate actively in client meetings and contribute valuable insights during discussions about refinancing strategies, maturity management, and funding approaches.


• Support the structuring and execution of hybrid capital transactions for both corporate and financial institution issuers by providing analytical input and market intelligence.


• Develop analyses related to hybrid capital structures including rating agency methodologies, equity credit considerations, and investor positioning to inform client recommendations.


• Monitor ongoing liability management and hybrid capital market activity by maintaining up-to-date market intelligence and tracking relevant transaction precedents.
