Senior Financial Analyst

Summary The Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, reporting, strategic finance, and transaction-related analysis across Archwell Capital and its portfolio companies. Working closely with senior finance leadership, this role provides broad exposure to business performance, corporate finance, M&A, capital planning, and other strategic initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst combines strong financial and analytical capabilities with intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a high degree of ownership to develop insights that support business and executive decision-making. Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. Build, maintain, and enhance financial models supporting financial forecasts, business decisions, acquisitions, investments, financings, and strategic initiatives. Support income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting and analysis. Prepare monthly financial reporting, budget-to-actual analyses, forecast variance analyses, and management reporting. Analyze financial and operating results to identify key trends, business drivers, risks, and opportunities. Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs, dashboards, and recurring management reports. Perform scenario, sensitivity, profitability, valuation, and other financial analyses to support business and strategic decisions. Support the evaluation of potential M&A, investment, and other strategic opportunities. Assist with financial due diligence, transaction analysis, and execution activities. Prepare analyses and materials supporting debt and equity financing activities, including evaluation of financing alternatives, liquidity, capital structures, and returns. Conduct company, market, and industry research to support financial and strategic analyses. Partner with FP&A, Accounting, business leaders, and portfolio company teams to gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational information. Prepare executive-ready presentations and analytical materials for senior leadership and other stakeholders. Proactively investigate financial trends, variances, and unexpected results and develop an understanding of the underlying business drivers. Identify opportunities to improve financial models, forecasting, reporting, analytical tools, and processes as the organization grows. Support ad hoc financial, transaction, and strategic projects for senior management. Manage multiple assignments while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality under demanding deadlines and shifting priorities. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Strong financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills. Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships among the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Working knowledge of corporate finance, valuation, and financial planning concepts. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, transaction analysis, or similar financial analysis. Exposure to M&A, valuation, transaction advisory, or capital-raising activities preferred. Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency developing financial and executive presentations. Ability to synthesize detailed financial analysis into clear conclusions and recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand the business drivers behind financial results. Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous problems. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with demanding deadlines. Education And/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline required. 2+ years of relevant professional experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, Big Four accounting or transaction advisory, management consulting, private equity, corporate development, strategic finance, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment. Experience developing financial models and conducting detailed financial analysis required. Experience with financial planning and analysis, transaction-related work, or corporate finance strongly preferred. Prior experience in an environment requiring significant analytical rigor, ownership, and management of multiple high-priority assignments is preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations CFA, CPA, or other relevant financial certification is a plus. Work Complexity Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of issues but typically are not complex. May require familiarity with the financial/mortgage (or job-specific) industry. Problems require understanding of other job areas. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
