Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: PCU/IMC Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have 2 years of PCU/IMC experience. Prefer prior neuro experience. Prefer Epic experience. Must have experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and ativan. Must be comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin. Description: Hiring Process includes candidate interview conducted by the clinical team. The candidates should be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent scheduling. Travelers are expected to float throughout the designated zone. Each zone covers a specific mileage radius from the city center. The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing within this radius. Schedules are released 4 to 6 weeks in advance and follow designated formats. May float within assigned facility if needed. Common diagnoses and patient types include adults and geriatrics. Patient populations may involve cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, and post-surgical cases, among others. Nurse to patient ratios typically range from 1:3 to 1:4, dependent on acuity. Designated charge nurses are available on each unit but may not take a patient assignment unless necessary. There may be nurse aids present on the unit. The facility has necessary respiratory equipment available. Weekend requirements involve 6 to 9 shifts in a 6-week schedule. Travelers may be asked to participate in the holiday rotation. Cancellation policy allows for a limited number of shifts to be canceled during the contract period. Charting is conducted using a specified system. Must adhere to all required qualifications and responsibilities outlined for the position.
