This role ensures all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company policies and operational goals.Duties and Responsibilities:Team Leadership & DevelopmentTrain, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians to develop technical skills and improve overall team performance.Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide ongoing support to ensure maintenance objectives are met.Preventative MaintenanceEnsure all preventative maintenance (PM) activities are completed thoroughly, accurately, and on schedule.Review PM records and adjust schedules or procedures as needed to improve equipment reliability.Safety & ComplianceThe manager will be exposed to chemicals and hazardous materials and will participate in chemical handling training and continued safety trainings.Enforce all company, departmental, and site policies—especially those related to safety.Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a safety-first culture in all maintenance operations.Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.Troubleshooting & RepairsDiagnose and repair down, malfunctioning, or underperforming equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.Support technicians in resolving complex mechanical, electrical, or operational issues.Equipment Upgrades & ProjectsDesign, plan, and implement equipment upgrades in coordination with Facilities, the Maintenance Manager, and/or Engineering.Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing processes.Inventory & ProcurementOrder, track, and maintain parts and supplies necessary for maintenance activities.Manage inventory levels to support efficient repair and preventative maintenance operations.General ExpectationsDemonstrate strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment updates.Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, reliability, and safety.Note: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel. A computer test may be required.Ability to prioritize multiple work ordersAble to stand throughout a shift, lift 50-pounds, work within confined spaces, safely work on ladders, and perform work in a crouched or overhead postureWillingness to work overtime in a salaried position, including weekends is required. Regular schedule may include one or two weekend daysMaintenance technicians will be supplied with the necessary tools and equipment.Education and Experience:Education: High school diploma or GED.Experience:Minimum 5 years’ experience as a maintenance technician.History of leadership within a maintenance department, formal position as a maintenance lead or maintenance supervisor preferredAdvanced experience in at least one of carpentry, welding, machining, plumbing for chemical systems, HVAC, waste treatment, water treatment, or printed circuit boards. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:$106,049 - $186,500Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment.
