The ideal candidate is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining locks, keys, and security systems.Responsibilities and DutiesEnsure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on quality customer serviceInstall locks, hardware, and security systems in existing buildings and new constructionDisassemble and troubleshoots problems with locks and hardware including electric hardwareRepairs existing locks and hardwareRe-keys and replaces locks and hardware as neededEnsures security systems are working correctlyPerforms other related duties as assignedPerform other duties as assignedWillingness to train and educate fellow teammatesWillingness to learn and understand security systems that Elite installs and maintainsQualifications and SkillsDCJS Locksmith CertificationCertified to install and service ADA doors and hardwareAt least five years experience as a locksmithExtensive knowledge of locks, hardware, and security systemsAbility to read blueprints and building plansExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to use power tools and hand toolsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordPhysical RequirementsMust be physically able to install and repair locks and related hardwareMust be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoopMust be able to lift 20 pounds at timesAdditional RequirementsMust be able to work Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM; additional work, including on-call, may be requiredMust maintain a satisfactory background recordMust be willing to travelAnticipated Hiring Range: $25 - $30 per hour with guaranteed hours, including overtime.Elite Contracting Group ensures nondiscrimination in all programs and activities in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
