Position Overview We are seeking a motivated entry level Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our North Austin, TX office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about plaintiff-side personal injury litigation and eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of injured clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication abilities and a commitment to client advocacy. Key Responsibilities Manage a personal injury and malpractice caseload from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation, litigation, and trial Conduct comprehensive client consultations and intake interviews Investigate claims, gather evidence, and develop case strategies Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts Engage in settlement negotiations with insurance companies and opposing counsel Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit preparation, and trial strategy development Appear in court for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and legal guidance Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management Maintain accurate case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies Participate in firm marketing and business development initiatives Stay current on developments in personal injury law, malpractice, and continuing legal education Qualifications Required Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas [1 -3] years of experience in personal injury law (plaintiff or defense) plus top 50% law school class, or recent law school graduate in top 25% law school class Demonstrated knowledge of Texas civil procedure and personal injury law Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively Proficiency in legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered representation What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays Professional development opportunities and continuing legal education support Mentorship and training from experienced trial attorneys Collaborative and supportive work environment Opportunity for career growth and advancement within the firm Modern office facilities and technology Work-life balance initiatives Equal Opportunity Employer The Carlson Law Firm is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
