Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:00) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital setting
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in a MedSurg environment
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records system
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and patient census needs
• Complete all required pre-start facility modules prior to assignment start date

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission, no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be current and valid at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system — hard requirement
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a tertiary care hospital environment
• Comfort with floating across units and adapting to varying patient populations
