Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enforce health and safety standards on large-scale construction projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, conducting safety training, auditing job site activities, leading incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture across all project teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive construction safety experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with field personnel, subcontractors, and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all on-site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety requirements.

Perform daily job site inspections and safety audits.

Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, providing corrective action plans.

Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), and safety documentation.

Partner with project management and field leadership to identify and mitigate risks.

Monitor subcontractor safety performance and enforce project safety standards.

Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Provide recommendations to improve overall site safety performance and culture.

Support project leadership during client safety audits and inspections.

Compensation:

$40/hr to $55/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications

7-10+ years of construction safety experience supporting commercial, industrial, data center, or large-scale construction projects.

OSHA 500 Certification required.

Candidates must possess the prerequisite OSHA 510 and OSHA 511 certifications.

Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.

Experience leading safety programs in an active construction environment.

Proven ability to conduct training, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action planning.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Experience supporting large data center or mission-critical construction projects.

Additional certifications such as CHST, CSP, ASP, First Aid/CPR, or OSHA 30 Instructor credentials.

Experience working alongside major general contractors such as Yates Construction.
