Job Title: Forklift Operator
Department: Manufacturing/Warehouse
Company: Kelly Services
Location: Onsite - Kirkwood, NY
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Overview:
Join the Kelly Services team as a Forklift Operator in Kirkwood, NY! You'll be responsible for efficiently transporting product and raw materials within our manufacturing facility, ensuring all product is handled safely and accurately. This is a hands-on position, requiring frequent two-person lifting up to 50 lbs during the majority of the workday. Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret shipping schedules, sort and handle products for shipping
• Stage materials for shipping; wrap and stack products as required
• Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections for safety and compliance
• Operate sit-down and electric standup forklifts throughout the facility
• Pull production wrap lines and consolidate orders
• Receive and ship items accurately, paying careful attention to detail
• Replace pallets/runners and maintain work area safety
• Understand and utilize shipping documents for proper space planning
• Direct warehouse attendants to expedite loading/unloading
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other assigned duties as needed
• Regular attendance and punctuality essential
• Must be able to work extended hours and overtime, including weekends as business needs require

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Experience with sit-down and electric standup forklifts
• Knowledge of standard warehouse concepts and procedures
• Able to mount/dismount forklifts multiple times daily
• Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills
• Ability to organize and maintain records
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs (2-person lifts required)
• (Preferred) Intermediate computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (can be waived for experienced candidates)
• 2-3 years prior forklift experience, especially in manufacturing
• Must read and write English
• Solid teamwork abilities
