Software Engineer

Software Engineer For Vehicle ManagementImplements, deploys and maintains software systems for vehicle management applications in compliance with internal and industry standards, processes, and regulations. Partners with cross functional engineering teams to identify, review and inform requirements and specifications for vehicle management. Develops vehicle management software and partners with stakeholders to integrate externally-generated functions into vehicle management systems. Develops test plans and test cases for vehicle management software validation. Performs verification, validation, and integration processes for vehicle management software in compliance with internal and industry standards and regulations. Provides input on software implementations during system-level design and architecture. Investigates and resolves vehicle management software-related issues reported by users or that occurred during system operation. Develops and maintains software documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and technical specifications. Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in vehicle management software development.Required Qualifications:Active Secret Clearance (or higher)Bachelors Degree5+ years of experience with C/C++5+ years of experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC)Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience designing and developing software for Real-Time or Non- Real-Time systems3+ years of experience Safety Critical Software Development ExperienceExperience with LOR-1, LOR-2 or DAL-A, DAL-B software processesReal-time embedded software experienceAgile Software developmentFamiliarity with MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, DO-178CPython, C# and/or Assembly Language experienceExperience with GreenHills Integrity or other Real Time Operating SystemsExperience with fault tolerance, signal processing or control system designExperience with tools such as Agility, Jira, ClearCase and GitEducation / Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Ability to pass Background, Drug Screen and if applicable Medical (i.e. Vision, Hearing, or Physical) if Required by Client.
