This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the center of PSA’s product development and manufacturing operations — responsible for qualifying parts, standing up new tooling, and ensuring flawless design transfer to domestic and international suppliers with a focus on plastics and injection molding experience.You’ll report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and work from our Santa Ana, CA office.Onsite Requirement:This role requires you to be onsite in the office 5 days per week. What You'll Do:Own the global part qualification process end-to-end, driving cycle time and removing bottlenecksLead implementation of new injection molding tool sets from kick-off through production releaseManage new design transfers to domestic and international offices, ensuring process requirements are validated before handoffPartner with product development and operations to execute smooth NPI handoffs from DFM through first articleDefine and deploy global standards of work for NPI, building repeatable playbooks across all supplier sitesWho You Are:8 or more years in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product launch roles in a high-precision, high-volume environmentProven experience managing large-scale plastics and injection molding tooling programsExperience with ultrasonic welding is highly desirable.Fluent in PPAP/FAI, GD&T, and supplier qualification processesStrong cross-functional project management skills; able to hold global suppliers to schedule and quality commitmentsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)Salary Range:The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $169,000. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
