Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

• Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies for leadership
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Requirements of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

• Current RN License in the state of TX or compact
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Current PALS certification (AHA only)
• Current TNCC certification
• Two years of experience in an ED or related urgent care role
