About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: L&D Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45-19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: L&D experience of 2+ years High risk experience Immediate newborn care Description: This position requires expertise in Labor and Delivery. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in L&D. Experience in high-risk situations is essential. Candidates will be responsible for immediate newborn care. Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections are performed on this unit. Additional procedures include D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst. Candidates should be outgoing, friendly, and adaptable. Staffing includes day and night charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2. Equipment used includes Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring. The unit utilizes Cerner and Fetal ink for EMR. Applicants with circulating experience will be prioritized. Weekend shifts and on-call duties may be available upon approval.
