About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele License: Active Iowa license or compact multistate license Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required Must have completed at least one travel contract in the previous 15 months Experience administering Heparin and Insulin required Description: The position involves working a full-time float role in a nursing capacity. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in medical surgical, rehabilitation, and behavioral health settings. The staffing ratios are typically 1:4-5. The position includes a holiday rotation, requiring the employee to work during specified summer holidays. Ability to float across different patient care areas is required. Nurses should have familiarity with drips, especially Insulin and Heparin. Candidates should have a current and complete work history. A professional reference from a charge, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the past 24 months is preferred. Candidates must complete all necessary documentation upon submission. Training will be provided on all required systems and protocols.
