Medical Malpractice Litigation Associate • 1900 Billables Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year. Flexible, supportive firm with room for growth. Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Medical Malpractice Litigation Associate to join our robust legal team. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex, high‑profile cases within the healthcare sector, managing multiple cases simultaneously and advancing your career in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Actively manage a diverse caseload of medical malpractice claims, including insurance defense, elder abuse, and catastrophic injury cases. Conduct thorough investigations to identify potential legal issues and develop effective defense strategies. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Represent clients in court proceedings, demonstrating strong trial advocacy skills. Collaborate with medical professionals, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals to build compelling defense cases. Provide legal advice to clients on risk management and malpractice prevention, ensuring they remain informed of case progress and legal developments. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of changes in medical malpractice law and healthcare regulations. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in California. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in litigation. Proven trial experience and a strong record of successful case resolution. Expert knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical malpractice laws. Federal court admissions in Central / Southern Districts are a plus. Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality. Strong research skills and proficiency in legal research tools. Proficient in using legal software for case management and document handling.
