Loader/Machine Operator

Job Purpose:The Loader/Machine Operator at Ray Wiegand's Nursery is responsible for efficiently managing the movement and handling of nursery stock and materials. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are accurately prepared for delivery, safely loaded and unloaded, and properly maintained within the warehouse, contributing to the overall operational success of the nursery.Key Responsibilities:Pull nursery stock for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Load bulk material for customers, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.Unload large nursery supplies and hardgoods from trucks, ensuring careful handling.Maintain the general upkeep of the warehouse, ensuring a clean and organized environment.Stock new hardgoods and plant material, facilitating smooth inventory management.Assist other departments when needed, providing support to enhance overall operations.Maintain proper safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.Required Education:High school diploma or equivalentRequired Experience:Experience in operating machinery such as loaders and forkliftsPrevious experience in a warehouse or nursery setting is preferredFamiliarity with nursery stock, bulk materials, and hardgoods handlingRequired Skills and Abilities:Valid driver's licenseAbility to safely operate and maintain machinery and equipmentStrong organizational skills for maintaining warehouse order and inventoryAbility to follow safety protocols and guidelinesCapability to work collaboratively with other departments and team membersPhysical ability to handle the lifting and moving of heavy materials and stock #J-18808-Ljbffr Ray-Wiegand
