Kelly Services is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler responsible for preparing, processing, and shipping customer orders while ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time delivery. This role supports daily warehouse operations by handling materials, operating warehouse equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to company quality and safety standards.

Material Handler (Temp)
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
RATE: $28.00/hour
SHIFT: 1st Shift
SHIFT DAYS/HOURS: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders and shipping schedules.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, and product condition before shipment.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Label, package, and stage materials for domestic and international shipments.
• Generate and process shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and carrier paperwork.
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to meet shipment deadlines.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions using ERP systems.
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies or quality concerns.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and inventory control procedures as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other warehouse activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of warehouse, domestic and international shipments. logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems preferred.
• Ability to read shipping documents, work instructions, and inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of shipping carriers and freight procedures.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
