PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of pre-operative and post-anesthesia care, and the ability to provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.Shift InformationNight shift: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AMShifts rotate between closing and openingWeeknight and weekend on-call responsibilitiesResponsibilitiesProvide preoperative and postoperative care to patients in the PACU.Monitor patient condition and adjust care plans as necessary.Assist with patient education regarding surgical procedures and recovery.Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required.Experience in Pre/Post anesthesia care is required.Proficiency in Epic electronic health records experience is required.Experience in a Level 1 trauma or outpatient setting is preferred.PACU experience is preferred.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.Patient Care RatioThe patient ratio is 1:1, ensuring individualized attention and care for each patient.Unit DetailsYou will be working in a unit that handles a variety of surgical procedures, including:CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)AAA repair (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm)TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)EVAR (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair)Fem-Pop/Fem-Tib-Peroneal BypassAngiogramPulmonary decorticationAblation proceduresIf you are passionate about patient care and meet the qualifications, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
