Client Assistant

The Client Assistant at the Lawrenceville Co-Op would center around exposing the student to the world of non-profits, specifically clients of a food bank. Duties of the intern would center around various aspects of our client ministry, including administration, client interaction, Spanish translation preferred, and helping clients make appointments/use our database. This position requires travel to assigned Lawrenceville Co-Op locations.

Help with translation for Spanish speaking clients during distribution (M 5-7 pm, W/F 9 am- noon). Prepare areas for food distribution each MWF (paperwork done, screeners/interviewers scheduled, prep areas, etc.). Learn to screen and interview clients coming in for food. Help clients make future appointments. Assist client check-in personnel. Work in our database to clear pending appointments, run reports, etc. Other duties as assigned. Work Hours - Monday 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm Wednesday 8:45 am - 12:15 pm Friday 8:45 am - 12:15 pm

Must have Federal Work Study award Must be enrolled a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment. Must be in good conduct standing with Georgia Gwinnett College and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment. Must be bilingual Must have reliable transportation to and from work sites as required by the position.
