Nurses in 4North, our 56-bed Neurology Stroke unit, care for adult neurological patients suffering from stroke, transient ischemic attack, seizures, epilepsy, closed head injury, meningitis, encephalitis, and movements disorders, and other non-surgical conditions requiring neurological nursing observation and expertise. As a Registered Nurse IV on 4NW, you will assume the responsibility and accountability for the supervision and application of the nursing process throughout the delivery of patient care. Responsibilities Expert clinician with high standard of knowledge and expertise in specialty and general nursing. Consistently demonstrate excellence in all areas of nursing practice including nursing care delivery, staff education, research, and collaboration. Manage complex, unpredictable patient care situations and act as a nursing leader. Serve as a resource to nursing staff, the unit, the organization, and the community to promote nursing advancement. Apply clinical knowledge regarding standard of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements in patient assignment making delegations of tasks, documentation and oversee care for the delivery team.
