The technician ensures systems operate properly, meets customer expectations, and supports compliance with applicable codes and standards.# **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*** Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.* Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.* Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.* Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.* Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.* Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work efficiently and safely.* Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.* Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.* Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements* Travel to job sites as required.* Other duties as assigned by management.**Qualifications:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.* Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.* Ability to work independently and complete standard service jobs without direct supervision.* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.* Shape**Other Duties:*** Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Physical Requirements & Work Environment:*** Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.* Ability to lift 50+ pounds.* Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.* Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.* Use of hand tools and testing equipment.* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.**Benefits and Perks:*** *Excellent pay** *Medical, dental, vision** *Company paid life insurance** *Company paid short-term disability** *401K with employer match** *Paid vacation and company holidays** *Training and Career Development** *Company vehicle (if job applicable)** *Immediate qualification for the**ALL In Ownership Plan* *for all eligible full-time employees*Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
