Senior Platform Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid). The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and distributed systems development.


Rate Range: $58/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Senior Platform Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform tools and backend services that support critical system offerings.
• Build and optimize distributed applications in Unix/Linux environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Implement and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes to improve deployment efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design platform capabilities, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver robust software solutions.
• Integrate and maintain backend technologies, databases, and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Redis while adhering to software engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6-8 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend and platform engineering.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go, with experience building scalable and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and CI/CD technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and cloud-based deployment practices.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $60.00 per hour
