RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the hospital***9 Trauma - 45 bed medical/surgical unit providing care to trauma patients with focus on the acute and chronic needs for patients that are hemodynamically and medically stable. It is a specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast paced. Trauma focuses on acute and chronic needs for trauma patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from the ICU, or admitted from surgical/procedural services.Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).BLS required2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)Drips are required on all floorsEPIC charting experience requiredFirst timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics.
