US Retail Business Development Director (Beauty)

Our portfolio includes a diverse range of brands distributed across international markets, and expanding our presence in the United States is a key strategic priority.

To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced US Retail Business Development Director with a strong track record in the beauty and skincare industry and deep understanding of the US retail landscape.

This is not a traditional business development role focused on market research or strategy development. We are looking for a senior commercial professional who already has strong relationships with retail buyers and category decision-makers and can successfully bring beauty and skincare brands into major US retail chains.

The role will be employed through our US entity and will report directly to the Head of Global Strategic Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage existing relationships with retail buyers and category managers to create new business opportunities for Bielenda Group brands.
• Secure and lead meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations with key retailers.
• Drive retail expansion across major US beauty, drugstore and mass-market channels, including retailers such as Ulta Beauty, Target, Walmart, Walgreens and CVS.
• Lead the entire retail listing process, from initial buyer introduction through commercial negotiations, onboarding and launch.
• Identify the brands, product categories and assortments with the highest commercial potential for individual retail partners.
• Advise internal stakeholders on retailer requirements, commercial expectations and market-specific opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, margins, trade terms, promotional investments and launch conditions.
• Build and manage a focused pipeline of priority retail opportunities.
• Work closely with international cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Regulatory Affairs.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in beauty and skincare retail sales, business development or key account management within the US market.
• Proven success in securing listings for beauty, skincare or personal care brands with major US retailers.
• Strong and active network of retail buyers and category decision-makers .
• Deep understanding of US retail commercial models, including pricing, margins, trade terms, promotional planning and retailer onboarding processes.
• Experience managing the full commercial cycle from prospecting and buyer engagement through listing and launch.
• Strong negotiation, relationship- building and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while driving measurable commercial outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile :
