Facilities Worker

Facilities WorkerThe Facilities Worker helps maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. Person will report to Facilities Manager.Facilities worker performs upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.Install appliances and equipmentGreen space upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash, shoveling during winter etc.Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbsInspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)Spot check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm, elevator)Collaborate with workers and other professionals for daily maintenance requestsReport to supervisor for issuesExperience using hand and electrical toolsAbility to read technical manuals and drawingsVery good communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical stamina and dexterityHigh school diploma or equivalentUnderstands and willing to support the Mission of The Chautauqua Center is "To deliver comprehensive high quality patient-centered health services in the Chautauqua region.
