General Assembler

Location: Lorain, OH Pay: $17.25/hour Schedule: Full-Time Duration: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire Position Summary PTS Advance is seeking a Refurbishment & Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team in Lorain, OH. This role involves rotating between refurbishing and packing products while supporting daily production goals. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with computers, hand tools, and electronic equipment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Rotate daily between refurbishing and packing responsibilities based on production needs. Refurbish, inspect, and prepare products for shipment according to established procedures. Assemble and rework mechanical and electronic components as required. Program firmware, scan serial numbers, and print labels using a computer. Use hand tools and electronic test equipment to complete assigned tasks. Read and follow work instructions, quality procedures, and testing documentation. Work closely with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies and quality standards. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least one year of mechanical assembly or electronics assembly experience preferred. Experience using hand tools and basic electronic test equipment. Ability to read and follow written work instructions and manufacturing procedures. Comfortable using a computer for programming, scanning, and label printing. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for the entire shift. Ability to lift 45–70 pounds throughout the workday. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
