Meritus Texas , a leading supplier of full-range industrial gases, is seeking a Fill Plant Operator to join our team in Tyler, TX . If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience working in a plant environment , Meritus Texas wants to hear from you! Experience in a fill plant is preferred but not required. Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent We will provide training but prefer at least one year of experience in a fill plant Forklift experience Ability to read Safety Data Sheets Solid math skills; add, subtract, multiply, divide and computes ratios and percentages. Ability to manipulate cylinders weighing up to 100 lbs. Essential duties/responsibilities: Fills cylinders including high pressure cylinders, according to Standard Operating Procedures Prepares cylinders for filling by confirming in test date, replaces shoulder labels and performs ring and odor tests. Determines whether retesting and/or repairs are required. Completes and maintains quality control documentation as per DOT, FDA, OSHA and Meritus Texas standards. Put away stock. Cylinder repair, paint and re-valving of cylinders, Fills Liquid Propane Cylinders as needed. Utilize forklift to move cylinders, pallets, and other large materials. Other duties as assigned.
