We're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator who wants more than a traditional estimating role.

YOUR IMPACT

This is a visible and influential position within our Preconstruction team. Develop Winning Strategies: Build competitive, profitable estimates while identifying opportunities, risks, and advantages others may overlook. Think Beyond the Electrical Drawings: Review the complete project documents and understand how architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, and schedule considerations affect the electrical scope. Build Client Relationships: Participate in meetings, communicate effectively with clients and project partners, and help strengthen long-term relationships. Mentor Estimators: Review work, share knowledge, improve consistency, and help develop other members of the Preconstruction team. Bridge Preconstruction and Operations: Lead effective project handoffs and help ensure Operations understands the assumptions, opportunities, risks, and strategy behind the estimate. Navigate Incomplete Designs: Develop defensible budgets and estimates from conceptual, schematic, design-development, and imperfect construction documents. Support Design-Assist and Design-Build: Work collaboratively with clients, engineers, vendors, and internal teams to develop practical and cost-effective solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience & Education 7+ years of electrical estimating experience Field electrical experience or a strong understanding of electrical installation methods Associate's degree or higher preferred Experience developing detailed budgets from narratives, conceptual drawings, schematic documents, and design-development packages Technical Skills Experience with Accubid Anywhere and LiveCount, or comparable estimating platforms Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation methods Working knowledge of lighting and lighting control systems Strong mathematical and analytical skills Core Competencies Understands that estimating is both technical and strategic Can identify risk and opportunity in incomplete or poorly coordinated documents Reviews the entire project rather than estimating electrical drawings in isolation Can clearly communicate estimating strategy and assumptions Comfortable working within standardized estimating processes while helping improve them Strong written and verbal communication skills Organized, accountable, and capable of managing multiple opportunities The Right Fit We're looking for someone who is: Honest and straightforward Curious and always looking for a better way Entrepreneurial and comfortable taking ownership Willing to challenge assumptions constructively Able to solve problems without waiting for someone else to provide every answer Respectful and effective when communicating with clients and teammates Interested in mentoring and developing others Motivated by building something, not simply completing estimates

Many estimating positions are primarily measured by how many bids get completed. We expect more from a Senior Estimator. You'll have the opportunity to influence how opportunities are pursued, how projects are estimated, how risk is evaluated, how clients experience our company, and how projects transition from Preconstruction into Operations. You'll also have the opportunity to help develop people, improve processes, and contribute to the continued evolution of our Preconstruction group. We're looking for someone who wants their judgment and experience to matter.
