As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will drive to conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, pedestrian routes, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor assigned areas for compliance with posted rules and site-specific policies; provide directions and assistance to members of the public when appropriate.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
