Head of Tax - HNW - Remote

Overview Head of Tax – High Net Worth – Remote A VC-Backed, AI-driven accounting and tax platform is seeking a Senior Manager or Partner to lead their HNW segment. The firm partners with Founders and C‑Level Executives of VC and PE-backed businesses on everything related to their tax needs. This role will oversee a team of tax compliance professionals, all former Big‑4 tax preparers, while focusing primarily on client relations and review. Prior experience with stock options, RSUs, and equity compensation is highly valued. The role is fully remote. Responsibilities Manage and oversee tax compliance and reporting for high-net-worth individuals. Develop and implement effective tax strategies and planning solutions. Conduct tax research and stay updated on tax regulations and compliance requirements. Provide guidance on partnership taxation and structures. Collaborate with wealth management teams to align investment strategies with tax efficiencies. Develop financial planning strategies that consider risk management and tax implications. Advise clients on trusts and estate planning matters to preserve wealth across generations. Qualifications Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax 8–20 years of HNW Tax experience in a CPA firm CPA is a major plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Team player with excellent communications skills; motivated, organized, flexible and proactive Additional information The salary information and other compensation details are provided as informational only and may vary.
