Monitor patients on telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to alarms, and administer medications as ordered. Supervise and direct activities of diverse nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines. Document patient status, implement and update care plans, and communicate changes to the care team. Ensure patient safety and quality of care, provide patient and family education, and participate in discharge planning as appropriate.
