Make an impact as an Occupational Therapist supporting middle school students in a welcoming educational environment. This rewarding, part-time contract opportunity focuses on providing direct occupational therapy services at the 5th and 6th grade levels. Serve a small caseload, making a meaningful difference for students who benefit from your expertise.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license (GaPSC certification required)
• School-based experience highly valued
• Experience supporting students with disabilities preferred
• Clearance documentation required in accordance with school policies
• Ability to deliver all services onsite (remote therapy is not available for this role)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to two students (30 minutes per week per student) in accordance with each student’s IEP
• Assess and address individual student needs, focusing on fine motor skills, functional abilities, and sensory processing
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education professionals, and other school staff to support inclusive education
• Develop and recommend classroom accommodations and modifications to optimize student participation
• Document progress and update records to ensure all IEP and regulatory requirements are met
• Maintain ongoing communication with the educational team, sharing insights and supporting a team-based approach to student care
• Ensure all services are performed in compliance with current standards and ethical guidelines
