Job Title: Outpatient Clinic Cardiovascular Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience required License: Valid Registered Nurse license required Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Cardiology clinic experience highly preferred. Experience reading arrhythmias in real time is absolutely required. Ability to hook up EKG leads and perform an EKG. Experience with blood pressure cuffs and ability to read blood pressure. Experience with finger sticks is required. Openness to learning about Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing is necessary. Description: This role is an urgent backfill for an outpatient cardiology clinic. The registered nurse will assist with Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing. Monitoring of Nuclear Stress Tests and Treadmill Stress Tests is required. Assisting with vein ablations is part of the duties. Medication mixing and administering are essential responsibilities. IV initiation for procedures is expected. The registered nurse will manage INR both at home and in-office. Medication management is a crucial function of this role. The position requires the nurse to answer high volume patient messages. Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred. The daily census includes approximately 70 patient visits. The candidate should possess skills related to arrhythmia interpretation, anticoagulation therapy, and patient education. Maintaining a high standard of patient care in a busy outpatient setting is essential. Traveling nurses may be required to float between facilities. Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to various clinical situations.
