The salary range is based on a full-time schedule and will be prorated to the extent the schedule is reduced.What You'll Get To Do:Synthesize software requirements into verification requirements, software test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for software and system level tests and demonstrations.Support the development of software requirements and detailed integration software test plans, procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reports.Execution of software qualification and acceptance testing per those requirements, plans and procedures.Participate in internal and customer software test planning working groups.Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment specific to software.Collaborate with systems engineers, software development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.Review software test plans, procedures, and reports, witness testing as the Cognizant EngineerParticipate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.Basic Qualifications for Principal Software Engineer:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experienceMust be a US Citizen in order to meet the security clearance requirementMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the companyExperience with Agile, Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket and working in cross-functional Scrum teamExperience in software development using languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, DockerPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Full System SimulationsExperience in Deliverables ManagementExperience with Software TestingExperience in Software Test PlanningHands-on design, deployment, and dynamic management of containerized systemsExperience with modern software factories and DevOps/DevSecOps practicesFamiliarity with Atlassian and CI/CD tools: Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins, ConfluenceAdvanced scripting in Python, Linux Bash, and related languagesLinux/UNIX experience in production environmentsPractical experience working in Agile and DevOps teamsWhat We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
