We seek degreed electrical or computer engineering engineers with hands-on experience in FPGA Design and Verification with VHDL.We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Digital Engineer based in McClellan, CA.Roles and Responsibilities:Responsible for research, design, and development for digital designs associated with multi-function software defined radiosWork with evaluation boards to test proposed designsSupport the implementation of digital FPGA hardware architecture and algorithmsCollaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure firmware design meets system level requirementsReview designs and analysisMay lead a team of Digital VHDL EngineersBasic Qualifications for Sr. Principle Digital Engineer:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience Must be a US Citizen in order to meet the security clearance requirement Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret ClearanceFPGA design experience with VHDL or VerilogExperience with AMD/Xilinx 7 (Zynq, Kintex and Ultrascale) or Versal family of devicesExperience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools such as Vivado and QuestaSimExperience with board or system level debug using test equipment and internal hardware analyzersGeneration of Test BenchesPreferred Qualifications for Sr. Principle Digital Engineer:Experience with VHDLKnowledgeable in FPGA physical constraints and achieving timing closureExperience with DSP and MATLABSupport of formal VHDL VerificationActive/Current Secret Clearance or higher levelWhat We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
