• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 5 months
• Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day/Night rotating shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3×12 Hours). Shifts may be variable if needed to meet the operational needs of the hospital. Facility will do their best to honor traveler's preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate if necessary.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Med/Surg Tele RN travel nursing position at a major hospital main campus providing winter coverage. The traveler may be required to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population. There is a possibility the traveler will take patients on ventilators.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients on the main campus hospital unit.
• Float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department as needed to care for the same patient population.
• Care for patients who may be on ventilators.
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is required.

Required Skills

• Must have 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for (preferable to be within one location but can be combined).
• Must also have 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience — travel experience will suffice.
• ECG rhythm recognition competency.
• safeMedicate assessment competency.
• Ability to care for patients on ventilators.

Education Requirements

• Must have permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• AHA or facility-accepted BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only).
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only).

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Rotating day/night shifts (3×12 hours); shifts may vary based on operational needs of the hospital.
• Potential float requirement to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department.
• Possibility of caring for patients on ventilators.
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday.

• Facility reserves the right to rotate traveler's shift if necessary to meet operational needs.
