About the Role

The Commercial HVAC Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and expanding Midstate Mechanical's commercial HVAC service presence throughout the Phoenix market.

This position focuses on selling preventive maintenance agreements, HVAC service solutions, repairs, retrofits, and small projects while serving as a trusted advisor to commercial building owners, property managers, facility managers, and general contractors.

The ideal candidate has a proven background in commercial HVAC service sales, understands mechanical systems, and thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment.

This is an In-Office/Field-based position located in Phoenix, Arizona. We do not offer a "Remote or Hybrid" schedule.

Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain long-term relationships with commercial HVAC clients and prospective customers.

· Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, cold calling, and relationship development.

· Schedule and conduct meetings with property managers, facility managers, building owners, engineers, and contractors.

· Perform facility walkthroughs to evaluate HVAC systems and identify customer needs.

· Prepare maintenance agreements, repair estimates, retrofit proposals, and service presentations.

· Estimate labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and project margins.

· Present customized HVAC solutions that align with customer goals and budgets.

· Negotiate pricing and successfully close new maintenance agreements and service opportunities.

· Manage an active sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM documentation.

· Follow up on proposals and maintain regular communication with prospective and existing clients.

· Collaborate closely with Service Managers, Dispatch, Project Managers, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.

· Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after project completion.

· Stay current on HVAC technologies, equipment, building automation systems, energy efficiency solutions, and industry trends.

· Attend networking events, industry associations, and trade organizations to promote Midstate Mechanical.

· Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience Required

· Minimum 5 years of Commercial HVAC Service Sales experience.

· Proven success selling commercial HVAC maintenance agreements and service solutions.

· Experience estimating maintenance agreements, repairs, and service-related projects.

· Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Required Knowledge

· Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.

· Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and commercial service operations.

· Ability to read building plans and understand mechanical systems.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

· Strong organizational and time management abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
