The HVAC Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, expanding customer partnerships, and identifying solutions that improve HVAC system performance and reliability.

Position Overview As an HVAC Sales Representative, you will focus on growing Kelso Building Services' commercial customer base within your assigned territory. You'll spend time prospecting, networking, conducting site visits, and meeting with decision-makers to uncover opportunities for service agreements, equipment replacements, upgrades, and energy-efficiency improvements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new commercial business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market outreach.
• Build relationships with property managers, facility directors, building owners, and operations leaders.
• Schedule and conduct in-person meetings to evaluate customer needs and facility requirements.
• Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance programs, HVAC repairs, system modernization projects, and capital equipment replacements.
• Perform facility walkthroughs and gather information regarding equipment condition and operational concerns.
• Work closely with internal technical teams to develop practical and cost-effective recommendations.
• Create proposals, budget pricing, and service agreements tailored to customer objectives.
• Present solutions and clearly communicate the operational and financial value of recommended services.
• Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process to drive customer engagement and project success.
• Track prospect activity, sales pipeline progress, and account information within CRM systems.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging HVAC technologies.
• Represent Kelso Building Services professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Success in This Role

• Consistently generates new customer relationships and sales opportunities.
• Develops trust through responsiveness, professionalism, and technical understanding.
• Maintains an active pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Effectively balances hunting for new business with growing existing accounts.
• Works collaboratively with operations and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or commercial service sales.
• Background selling HVAC, mechanical, construction, facilities, industrial, or building-related services preferred.
• Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls, creating new relationships, and developing business through proactive outreach.
• Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into customer-focused solutions.
• Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
