NY Pie is looking for Pizza Maker for our new Capitol View location in downtown Nashville! NY Pie is a fun, family-style pizzeria with four Nashville area locations. We are looking for people with a Wild Hospitality mindset to add to our team! We offer the best New York style pizza in Nashville in a warm and friendly environment. We use only the freshest, highest-quality cheese, meats, and produce and home-make all of our sauces and dressings. Our dough is made fresh in house, using 50 lbs of flour at a time. We offer competitive pay at $18-$25 per hour including tips (based on experience; potential to earn more if you learn multiple roles). This position offers a flexible full or part-time schedule.

Description: 

• Prepares, assembles, and bakes pizzas according to recipes, working in fast-paced kitchens. 
• Responsibilities include preparing dough and toppings, operating ovens, maintaining sanitation standards, and providing customer service. 
• Key skills required are speed, accuracy, food safety knowledge, and teamwork. 

Core Responsibilities: 

• Pizza Preparation: Hand-stretching dough, saucing, topping, and baking pizzas consistently. 
• Ingredient Prep: Preparing dough, chopping vegetables, making sauces, and slicing meats. 
• Oven Management: Operating and monitoring wood-fired, gas, or conveyor ovens to ensure proper cooking. 
• Kitchen Sanitation: Cleaning workstations, tools, and equipment, and maintaining high hygiene standards. 
• Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors of low inventory. 
• Customer Service: Managing orders and, in some settings, taking orders or handing food to customers. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• Experience: Prior experience as a pizza maker required.
• Knowledge: Understanding of food sanitation regulations and safety standards. 
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, fast-paced environment. 
• Schedule Flexibility: Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, and ability to follow recipes. 
• Must be able to read orders from tickets and/or screen.
