Job Title: Critical Care Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year of CVICU experience preferred License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS; CCRN preferred Must-Have: Competent in invasive line monitoring, experience with cardiac medications, ventilator management, and telemetry monitoring Description: We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse for a fast-paced environment. The position involves caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions. Common diagnoses include immediate post-op CABG, TAVR/TMVR, valve repairs/replacement, and heart transplants. The unit has a total of 30 beds. Patient ratios typically include 1:1 for critical patients, with 1:2 or 1:3 for regular ICU status. Registered Nurses will provide care with support from a dedicated Charge Nurse and 24/7 intensivist. Our facility utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records. On-site technology includes advanced monitoring and IV systems. A collaborative approach with an interdisciplinary team is emphasized. Weekend rotations are expected every third week. Holiday expectations are 1-2 per contract. Scheduling operates on a 6-week cycle with schedules issued in advance. A fatigue policy ensures no staff member works more than 60 hours a week or 5 consecutive shifts. Work attire includes any solid color scrubs without graphics or logos.
