Orthopaedic Surgery Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

One of our Partners in New Mexico is seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon for a flexible locum tenens opportunity offering light-volume 24-hour beeper call coverage in a community hospital setting.

Providers are not required to remain onsite and will cover orthopaedic call from 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM with a manageable workload and strong schedule flexibility. The facility anticipates recurring monthly coverage needs, making this an excellent supplemental or ongoing locums opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour orthopaedic surgery beeper call coverage
Evaluate and manage orthopaedic consults
Treat fractures and acute orthopaedic injuries
Perform surgical procedures within scope of privileges
Coordinate patient care with hospital staff and transfer facilities when needed
Document encounters in Epic EMR
Maintain timely response for emergent orthopaedic cases
