Data Strategy Analyst

Job Summary:

The Data Strategy & Reporting Analyst will modernize Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program operations by developing foundational digital processes, standardized workflows, and integrated Power BI dashboards. This role focuses on consolidating safety, environmental, and compliance data into accessible, real-time systems to enhance reporting and decision-making. Responsibilities:

• Design structured data models to support EHS reporting, compliance, and KPI tracking.
• Define and document data flows across Maximo, Power BI, SharePoint, and ClearPoint.
• Develop standardized processes for data intake, cleaning, transformation, and validation.
• Rebuild, refine, and standardize Power BI dashboards to ensure reliability and usability.
• Migrate legacy and manual reporting tools into structured, automated dashboards.
• Integrate data across enterprise systems to automate reporting and reduce manual work.
• Maintain documentation on dashboard logic, calculations, and business rules.
• Coordinate tasks, timelines, and deliverables for dashboard and data process improvements.
• Track progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong data modeling and data architecture skills.
• Proficiency in Power BI including DAX, dataflows, semantic models, and dashboard development.
• Experience with Maximo data structures, fields, and system logic.
• Rigorous data QA/QC and legacy dataset cleaning and standardization skills.
• Ability to design automated data pipelines across enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical thinking related to EHS, operational, and compliance data.
• Effective communication skills with EHS, IT, operations, and leadership stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) or equivalent certification.
• Experience managing small projects or process improvement initiatives.
• Basic skills with project management tools such as WBS, Gantt charts, and task tracking.
• Troubleshooting experience for data/system inconsistencies and dashboard errors.
