Take the next step in your education career by supporting elementary students as a Life Skills Teacher in a self-contained classroom setting for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Located in Stafford, TX, this full-time, contract opportunity provides a chance to make a meaningful impact on students with significant cognitive and adaptive needs in grades K-5.

You’ll be working with a small group of approximately 10 students, providing tailored instruction and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment that nurtures growth and development. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teacher license required
• Prior experience working in special education or life skills settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff, therapists, and families
• Creative, adaptable, and compassionate approach to teaching diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction to meet each student’s educational goals and adaptive needs
• Implement IEPs, track student progress, and communicate results with families and team members
• Create a positive classroom climate that encourages participation and independence
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and specialists to ensure comprehensive, consistent support
• Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school initiatives related to special education
