About the Position

Job Title: Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Valid state or compact RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Proficiency with EPIC - IV Start - Telemetry - Ventilator management experience Description: Join our Critical Care Float Pool for weekend night shifts with flexibility to meet unit needs as they arise. Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, and Cardiovascular ICU. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Candidates must have current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Experience with IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management is essential. Daily census is high with care provided to adults with a variety of diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Expect to engage with a diverse range of critically ill patients requiring advanced medical care. All candidates must be aware of the compliance requirements for fingerprinting and credentialing processes. Professional references are required from supervisors or individuals in leadership positions. This role may involve floating to different units as needed. All applicants must meet the minimum experience and certification requirements for consideration.
