Special Education Teacher

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels during the 2026-2027 school year. The Special Education Teacher works under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator to provide high-quality educational services and individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

This role requires a collaborative professional who is committed to student success, participates in educational planning, and works closely with general education staff, families, and support teams to implement effective learning strategies and accommodations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) and instructional plans

• Provide specialized instruction to students with varying learning needs

• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers

• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation

• Deliver tutorial assistance and academic support services

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and educational planning

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations

Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

• Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations

• Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

• Minimum of one year of teaching experience in a school setting

• Standard Elementary Teaching Certification

• Standard Secondary Teaching Certification

• Standard Special Education Teaching Certification

• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement

• Current CPR certification (if applicable)

• Current health certificate, TB screening, PPD, or chest X-ray as required by applicable
