Division 28 Data Center TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Division 28 Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems in mission-critical data center environments. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work safely while meeting project deadlines.ResponsibilitiesInstall, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling in data center environments.Install and support Division 28 systems including: structured cabling, access control systems, CCTV/security camera systems, intrusion detection systems, network infrastructure.Install cable trays, ladder racks, conduit, and pathways.Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, rack elevations, and construction drawings.Perform cable testing and certification using industry-standard test equipment.Install, dress, and manage cabling in racks and cabinets according to industry best practices.Troubleshoot connectivity, cabling, and low-voltage system issues.Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and as-built drawings.Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.Qualifications2+ years of experience in low-voltage or Division 28 installations preferred.Experience working in data centers is highly preferred.Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).Experience with cable testing and certification equipment.Ability to read construction documents and wiring diagrams.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to pass background checks and obtain data center security clearance as required.Preferred CertificationsBICSI Technician or InstallerOSHA 10 or OSHA 30Lift CertificationManufacturer certifications (CommScope, Corning, Panduit, Leviton, etc.)Fiber optic termination and testing certificationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to climb ladders and work on lifts.Comfortable working in active construction and mission-critical environments.Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods.What We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidaysOvertime opportunitiesTraining and career advancementOpportunity to work on state-of-the-art data center projectsIf you are a motivated technician with experience in Division 28 systems and enjoy working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments, we encourage you to apply.
