Do you enjoy working with customers, solving problems, and finding the right products to meet their needs? Palmer Johnson is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Industrial Products team. This role combines customer service, inside sales, and technical product support — you'll work directly with customers to identify solutions, prepare quotes, process orders, and build long-term relationships while helping grow our business.

This position is based in Sun Prairie, WI, and will be a hybrid work environment, working remotely from their home office and in-person in Sun Prairie. Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance of Sun Prairie, WI. Who are we?

About the Opportunity

The Industrial Products Sales position is responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining business within the specific products they are assigned. This is accomplished by identifying and providing solutions to customers and working with co-workers to maintain and strengthen our reputation for superior customer service. This position will operate as part of a sales team and have a collaborative approach to ensure the customer comes first. This position will work to build trust and add value with both existing and new accounts by taking a proactive approach, having a high level of technical expertise, making inventory suggestions, and following through. It is essential to be comfortable with asking questions and seeking assistance when needed.

Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to: assisting both new and existing customers via phone and email with locating parts lists, identifying parts/units, quoting, order processing, purchasing, returns, and damages while working with internal departments (accounting, warehouse, service, etc) and our external vendors. What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in sales, customer service, parts, or a related customer-facing role
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A customer-first mindset with an interest in sales and growing business
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn technical products
• Comfortable working with computers and multiple systems; Salesforce and/or P21 experience is a plus
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 10%
• Experience in the off-highway, heavy equipment, industrial, powertrain, hydraulics, automotive, or related industries is a plus.
