Step into a dynamic full-time opportunity as a school-based physical therapist serving K-12 students for the 2026-2027 school year in an engaging educational setting. This contract role spans from ASAP through June 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 32-37.5 hours per week. Utilize your expertise to provide districtwide support, making a difference for students in a hands-on, in-person capacity.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Connecticut
• Prior experience in a school setting working with a K-12 population preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with teachers, families, and other school professionals
• Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and deliver services across multiple locations within the district
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive in supporting student mobility, access, and participation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP/504 plans and district guidelines
• Develop and implement goal-oriented therapy strategies that facilitate student participation in educational activities
• Assess and document student progress, maintaining detailed records as required
• Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and motor skills throughout the school day
• Travel between schools within the district as needed
