Analytics Engineer

In Sentry Analytics, you will help power that mission by designing and operating the data infrastructure, pipelines, dashboards, and analytical tools that support Manufacturing and Supply Chain decisions. What you can expect This is a hands-on, builder-operator role where you own the data and analytics footprint for Sentry Manufacturing and Supply Chain. You will be embedded with the Head of Production and partner with leaders across production planning, purchasing, inventory, quality, and supplier management to turn operational questions into durable data products. The environment is fast-moving and physical, so you will also work directly with planners, buyers, engineers, and floor operators to ensure the right tooling gets built. Responsibilities Own the Manufacturing and Supply Chain analytics footprint end-to-end. Serve as the technical lead for data products supporting production planning, purchasing, inventory, capacity, quality, and supplier management. Partner directly with the Head of Production for Sentry to shape the analytics roadmap for these functions. Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical systems. , inventory, and quality systems , ensuring data quality, freshness, and accessibility. Develop dashboards and analytics that shape production decisions. Create data products that range from ad hoc analysis for rapid iteration to scalable dashboards and trackers for build status, PO health, inventory position, supplier performance, yield, and capacity utilization. Own the full product lifecycle, acting as architect, designer, and builder for analytics tools. Bridge technical and operational needs by translating data challenges into effective solutions. Collaborate with Demand and Supply Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Engineering, and Supply Chain to understand requirements and deliver outcomes inside operational systems. Drive operational efficiency through data analysis, including inventory reconciliation, variance investigation, trend analysis, root-cause analysis, and demand or supply gap analysis. Enable smarter supply and production planning by improving safety stock, lead time, purchasing, and capacity models and providing leadership with a defensible view of what Sentry production can commit to. Continuously improve data products using stakeholder feedback as Sentry manufacturing scales. Document and champion data quality by ensuring data definitions, business logic, and methodologies are well-documented and understood across teams to promote data literacy and self-service. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related technical field. 2+ years of experience in analytics, operations engineering, data engineering, or software engineering roles. Experience building business-facing dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Palantir Foundry, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Streamlit, or similar . Proficient in at least one additional programming language such as Python, SQL, R, TypeScript, or similar for analysis, data visualization, and automation. Enjoys untangling complex, messy problems and creating order in a rapidly evolving operational environment. Track record partnering directly with senior operational leaders and cross-functional teams (planners, buyers, engineers, quality, floor operators) to translate business problems into technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
